Terms of Service

Agreement

These terms are between you and {{COMPANY_NAME}} (“DotSection”). By creating an account or paying for a section, you agree to them and to the Refund Policy. If you do not agree, do not buy a file.

The product

DotSection sells digital section files for Shopify Online Store 2.0 themes. Each file is Liquid, with its own settings schema. The preview on this site is sample HTML. The file in your library is the source you install. We do not host your storefront.

License

A paid or claimed section comes with a non-exclusive, non-transferable license for the DotSection account that acquired it. That account may install the file in Shopify stores it connects, for themes that account operates. One purchase covers that account. It is not a separate license for every store, and it is not a license you can hand to another DotSection account.

If a client will own the file in their own account, that client needs their own purchase. You may use a file you bought while building a theme for a client only for as long as your account remains the licensee and the client does not receive the source to reuse elsewhere.

What the license does not allow

• Reselling the file, or including it in a theme or bundle that you sell as your own product.
• Redistributing the source, publicly or privately, including in a repository others can copy.
• Sharing your login so another person can download the file.
• Removing copyright notices that ship inside the file, then presenting the file as original work.
• Using the file to build a competing section marketplace.

Accounts

You need an account to hold a license. Keep the password to yourself and use an email you can still open. You are responsible for purchases and imports made from the account. We may close an account that breaks these terms, shares source, or is used to attack the service.

Payments

Prices are in US dollars and are charged once, not as a subscription. Live payments are handled by Creem as merchant of record. Creem calculates tax and pays {{COMPANY_NAME}}. Test payments are handled by Stripe. When neither provider is active, checkout is a demo and does not take money. We do not store card numbers.

Shopify is not part of this contract

Shopify is not affiliated with DotSection, and Shopify does not sponsor, review, or warrant these section files. Shopify’s own terms govern your store. A section can still fail if a theme is not Online Store 2.0 or if a setting is left empty. The Refund Policy covers a file that cannot be installed as described.

Disclaimers

The previews show sample content. Your products, fonts, and theme settings will look different. Except where the Refund Policy or a law that applies to you says otherwise, the files are provided as a digital download for use in a compatible theme. We do not promise a particular sales result, search ranking, or that a future Shopify release will leave every setting untouched.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, {{COMPANY_NAME}} is not liable for lost profits, lost store revenue, or indirect damages arising from a section file or from this site. Our total liability for a file is limited to the amount you paid for that file. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for fraud.

Termination

You may stop using the site and ask us to delete the account. We may unpublish a section; a license already paid for stays in your library unless the order is refunded. If we end the license because you redistributed the source, you must stop using the file and delete the copies you control. A refund in that case is not owed.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page will change. The date of this version is 2026-10-22. If you keep using a license after the new date, the updated terms apply to that continued use. A change does not rewrite a purchase you already paid for, except where the law requires it.

Governing law

Governing law is not set. The owner of this store must replace this paragraph with the jurisdiction, the courts, and any mandatory consumer rules that apply to {{COMPANY_NAME}} before relying on these terms.
